I have been involved with Babbasa (formerly known as BYEP) since 2012 and been a member of their Advisory Board since 2015, when the Board was first established; I am also involved with partnership development. Babbasa is a social enterprise which aims to empower and support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds with their professional aspirations. As someone who comes from a similar background (the only one in a family of 6 siblings to go to university), I am well aware of the challenges…

Babbasa is a social enterprise which aims to empower and support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds with their professional aspirations. As someone who comes from a similar background (the only one in a family of 6 siblings to go to university), I am well aware of the challenges and difficulties that exist when one does not have access to the right resources, people or networks or even made aware of opportunities that may help one's career and personal development. Over the last few years I have been astonished and humbled by the talent of the young people we support and it gives me enormous pleasure in helping them develop into successful members of society.
